Schneider Electric today announced the UL-approved DVCAS 38 medium voltage distribution switchgear for transformer substations in wind farms. This new model, designed specifically for the North American market, completes the successful range of products already available in Europe and Asia, enabling wind operators to set up and operate wind farms with the same high standard for electrical infrastructure worldwide. DVCAS 38 switchgears have been designed as compact units that contain all the necessary equipment for the protection and connection of the transformer of each wind generator to the MV network of the wind farm.
