Broken 6" clay lateral, who broke it?

Village is installing storm sewer. 36″ concrete pipe near broken lateral . Lateral is 18″ below storm sewer. Meeting on Monday to determine who broke the lateral approx. 12″ before storm sewer. Dug to lateral in front yard (crawl space has sewage, no clean-out, no access either) Cut opening with concrete saw. Camera would go 15ft but couldn’t see anything for dirty water and debris. Ran whip with K1500 and started to flow. This is where I blew it. If I would have ran camera again I would have probably seen the #57 stone. But I went with C-cutter and got stuck at 16ft. I was trying to clear the drain for everybody’s best interest not blame somebody. Sewer contractor removed my cable and repaired pipe. Claims I broke it not him, what a joke. Hole in clay pipe was on the top. Claims gravel ran in when I broke the pipe. Any ideas how I defend myself? Dennis…..

What’s NEXT?

Installed one? Opinions? Just trying to stay on top of things. Thanks. http://www.hotwater.com/products/res…xt_hybrid.html J.C.

How do I troubleshoot electric lawn mowers?

Hello, I’ve recently picked up a dead Craftsman 19″ electric lawnmower at a garage sale. It’s a popular model that shares the platform and parts with many other B&D mowers. It uses the very popular 681064-01 switch (push button with four contacts). At first, I thought the switch may have been the culprit, but after some testing, I’m not so sure anymore. Let me explain my findings: The switch has four connections. #1 black wire from power plug, #2 black wire to motor, #3 red wire to brush, #4 white wire to brush. There is also an orange wire #5 direct from power plug bypassing switch altogether. Wires #2, #3, #4, #5 connects at the rectifier above motor. On operations: if I press the power button, the #1 & #2 black wires would touch; if I release power button, #3 & #4 wires would touch. This is the basic function of the switch and it’s doing it. So based on this alone, could I confirm the switch is not the problem? Now when I actually plug in power and do the testings, it gets more confusing. If I press the power button, all that happens is a little smoke rises from the rectifier and then the circuit breaker trips. It appears the switch is delivering the power down, just that something is happening at the rectifier and/or motor. I would appreciate if anyone could help me with the troubleshooting steps. Could you explain what the relationship is between the rectifier, shunt brushes, and motor? Is there a way for me to deliver power to this motor (bypass the switch) to test out to see if the rectifier/motor is even functional? Thank you!

MLCS router table on a TS3660

I have the TS3660 and I am looking at MLCS’s table(mdf) to fit in between the rails, but just not too sure how to mount it, anyone have any good pics of this table mounted? also is it better to go Phenolic or the alum plate, I know the alum would be better but for $20 more should i just go with the Alum?

Libertarianism meets liberalism

This to me was one of the more fun interviews in the news recently Liberal Rachel Madow calls into question one of Rand Paul’s libertarian ideals. Interesting political fall out ensues Myself I cling to Libertarian ideals. I like Ron Paul a lot as he embraces those ideals even to his own detriment. Rand Paul is similar but hasn’t quite drunk the same cool aide his father has. He picks and chooses when to embrace the ideology, sometimes I think its at random, he can be truly bazaar and unpredictable in that aspect. In a perfect world where if the majority of people embraced libertarianism Rand Paul would be right on point in the interview. I unlike him believe our society is not perfect, in some areas it is deeply flawed. With that understanding I stray from Libertarian philosophy, some problems simply won’t work themselves out without government intervention. I’d really prefer they do, but understand even if they will at some point in the future it is not worth the desperately it will cause people in the process http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-3O2r…=ytn%3Amptnews What are your thoughts?

Digging Their Graves

What a great country we have! The president of a country where the crime is so bad that entire police forces quit, speaks before our congress and insults the actions of a state where one in ten residents is an illegal from his country, and he gets a standing ovation! Enjoy your time in power folks, because the first chance voters get you will be out. Holder, napilitano, and our President should be ashamed to support such behavior while at the same time doing nothing to help AZ deal with all those illegals breaking our laws. Now I hear that the head of I.C.E. may not process the illegals handed over by AZ. He should thank them for doing his job, and if he feels the fed, not states should be dealing with the problem of illegals, then what is he waiting for????? Come on elections, these clowns are digging their own political graves.
