Would You Read A Short Story Series With The General Idea Like This:?
I would call it “The Dead Girls of Victor Academy”
It would be a drama/fantasy with just the right amount of comedy.
About a high school for spirits with unfinished business. Basically the “rule” is that when a teenager dies with something hanging over their head, they must live a ‘normal’ high school life until they understand what their business is and how to finish it. So they are sent to Victor Academy, a boarding school in between heaven and Earth. There they learn normal subjects and deal with normal teen aged drama, all the while searching for their purpose of being there.
It will be a series, and each short story would focus on a new girl of Victor Academy. The drama would extend past the unfinished business and go into love interests and secrets and rumors just like a normal high school.
The main characters are all girls, but there will be guys at the academy.

I usually would steer clear of a book with high school drama, but this actually sounds really interesting. I might not buy it, but I’d definitely start reading it at one of the two bookstores near where I live. I say go for it, and I would LOVE to edit or go over a section or two some time

No, not really, but that’s simply because it’s not my type of story. I tend to steer clear of “high-school romance/drama”. Good luck in your writing though.

It depends on the tastes of the reader.
I, personally, find the idea fantastic. As long as the short stories are organized and written well, I would definitely read them. Just be sure to explain everything and keep details and organization in check. :]
